Namco Bandai shipped We Ski today, the family friendly skiing game for the Nintendo Wii.

Aksys Games announced today they have shipped Castle of Shikigami III.  And here I was just thinking if there were any vertical scrolling shoot-’em-ups for the Wii.

Paradox Interactive sent over a handful of screenshots of City Life 2008 Edition in anticipation of its June 17th release.

EA announced today they are developing a new skateboarding title for the Nintendo Wii and DS. The game, titled Skate It, will utilize the Flickit Controls found in Skate and take advantage of the Wii Balance Board.

The dates for Blizzcon 2008 were announced today.  The event will be held at the Anaheim Convention Center on October 10th and 11th.

Nintendo of America this morning announced the launching of their WiiWare game delivering service.  Along with that gamers will be able to download LostWinds, a new adventure title for the Wii.

Audiosurf, the hit game available from Steam, will be getting 160 more songs added to its library by way of a deal with Aardvark Records.

Bad news was reported a couple of weeks ago when both Vivendi Games and Activision announced they would not be attending E3 this year.  Now Gamecock has announced they will be hosting their own mock event just down the street during the days of July 15-17.

Here are a few more game reviews late in the weekend. This is mainly to get our Grand Theft Auto IV review out there. But of the four reviews we have today, echochrome for the PlayStation 3 takes the cake.

Sony Computer Entertainment America happily announced that their seminal driving series Gran Turismo has surpassed the 50 million mark in terms of sold units.  Congratulations, Sony!

Atlus sent over some new screenshots of Spectral Force 3, their new RPG for the PlayStation 2.

Filmmaker Gore Verbinski is now attached to the project, a daunting one if there ever was one.  He’s been signed to direct the BioShock film.

EA announced this morning that both single-player and multiplayer demos will be available for Battlefield: Bad Company on June 5th.  They will be ready for download for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 from their respective online stores.  The game itself is due out June 25th.

All (one of) you Brendon Fraser fans looking forward to a George of the Jungle sequel and subsequent videogame will have to wait a little while longer.  But there is The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor, the PlayStation title coming in August to tie in with the film’s release.  The game will also be released for the Nintendo DS.

We all knew another Motorstorm title was coming our way and Sony Computer Entertainment America has officially announced it along with its official title, MotorStorm: Pacific Rift.

EA announced the development of Lord of the Rings: Conquest, an action game for the PlayStation 3, PC, Nintendo DS, and Xbox 360. The game is being developed by Pandemic Studios.
